pool table in the boot?

Featured Replies

guys, want to get a pool table for my workshop. 6x3 ft but I guess the dimensions will be slightly bigger. seen one but it is down the motorway and I don't want to drive with the boot open.

have any of you got a pool table in an octavia and closed the boot?

I don't know the different sizes for pool tables, I had a standard one for home use which was a full size table but fairly small however it wouldn't fit in the Octavia or a Zafira as it was too wide.

Ha, most random question on this forum I've ever read! I love it!

well, I don't fancy the hassle of hiring a van. if I go to that much hassle I may as well get an ex pub one. they go for not much

I was expecting a picture with a converted vRS with pool table inside :giggle:

if its a real (pub) pool table, it will have a slate bed, this is immensely heavy, your talking maye 4-6 guys to lift it, it will not fit your car without completely wrecking it, go get a large van, or get someone to tow it on a trailer

I was thinking 6ft folding jobbie. if I need to go to hassle of hiring a van, I may as well get a decent pub table then. less hassle if I can get it in the car though....

With the front seats a bit forward I think you just might... I have taken a double mattress to the dump before without any real effort!

You need to change your profile to show your new car. Personally, I think the change is a bit OTT. ;)

the 6x3 are the internal dimesions (i.e.) the playing area. you then have to account for the table top edging. you also have to carry the slate on its side or you will crack it in transit.

Doesn't the slate come in 3 or 4 sections which when fitted are levelled and wax is used between the joins to make the surface smooth again.

I think you need to rethink what your buying

When i picked mine up i used my transit,it came to bits & still took 2 of us to lift it,the slate is very very heavy,no way would i try to put it my octy.

Took apart a full size professional world competition used snooker table and agree that the slate is ridiculously heavy!!

If it's got no slate, then have you looked at those inflatable roof racks that use cliplock straps in through the doors and on the underside of the roof?

Should fit but you'll have real problems playing off the side cushions.

Hope this helps...

rollerboot on each leg and a towbar
