I am not sure on the technical bit, but my vRS 2012 version I had the OEM BT Module put in with a Bolero and it worked fine, great piece of kit, upgraded toColumbus and again worked perfectly, really like the OEM bluetooth, it just does all I need it to do with flawless integration, personally for me its the first tick when specc'ing a car now, so I would recommend it yes.

Thanks for the replys will let you know how it goes.

I installed mine myself a few weeks ago & it's so good, really handy.

If you want to quick install cut off the 3 tabs on the BT kit (with hacksaw) & install behind AC unit (which is only held in with 4 screws) or the slightly more long winded way in to install under a seat & remove various trim panels. With either of these options you will still need to thread the mic cable up to the internal light & this is easy too. You will need a Torx 15 screw driver to undo most screws & a posidrive for a few others. I used a trim tool for the stereo surround but upon reflection a plastic tyre leaver would have been ample as the fascia surround is pretty spongey & quite forgiving. If you need any help i'd be happy to speak with you or PM me.

Unfortunately I cant code but there are plenty of good people on here than can for a few beers see this link for a list: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=209732397261666218585.0004c66cecde3f435ecb4&msa=0

Do it you wont regret it.

I've just bought pretty much the same thing, but from a UK seller who accepted a best offer of £185. Ordered yesterday and arrived today, the part number of the unit I got is 7P6 035 730 K

Bluetooth loads up the phone book from the Nokia N95 but has no network signal and when trying to change network it says not allowed on all that it can find. anyone any ideas also where would the unit be fitted if it was a factory fit unit. Hope that makes sense.

If it's factory fit the unit should be under the driver's seat . Just push the seat right back and you should easily see it.

Yup found it just where you said it would be and it's a 5N0 035 730 B. would it be wise to update this to a newer model or get a firmware update as still cant use it with my phone as it wont connect to my 3 network.

You will need to update your module. Possible a 5K0 035 730 D would work.

I've just had the bluetooth module retro fitted on a Bolero headunit in my Octavia.  The phonebook works fine however when streaming music, the track info doesn't display.  Any ideas why not?

Did you (or anyone else) have any luck working this out Mark? I have just installed the Bluetooth module and the phone and audio streaming (minus track info) worked straight away with no coding. I am a bit frustrated that the track info does not work though and wonder if there is a fix for this?

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Thanks
