Yeti Configurator

There was no 2D option this morning for me. Now the configurator is unavailable again!

I have come to the conclusion that it's completely pot luck if it works or not. We've had various links posted on here that seem to work once and then back to the normal 'access denied' or 'currently unavailable'. It gives a very good impression to potential buyers, not!

My best advice to Skoda is to employ a decent web team to sort out this shambles. :dull:

Couldn't agree more. It would be even better if dealers were up to speed with what options are available on which UK models, or not!

Too true, but I fear that it goes beyond the web team & more in IT spend generally. In the good old days, Skoda published good, up to date, lists of what phones had been tested with the bluetooth & detailed any shortcomings - likewise for the various ipod models with the MDI (not such a problem with the 'traditional' socket, but Rapid owners have been left a bit stumped with the new USB interface). It's typical of companies these days that they ask for detailed feedback on their dealers, but don't invite comment on their own shortcomings.

All works now, but concerned you can't spec the L&K in the same way I've ordered mine, also really annoyed you can now spec the electric seat which my elegance had. Will see if I can add to my order, but I think mine might have been built

How annoying. I have just received the L&K I ordered, and I pestered the dealer and Skoda UK right up to the build freeze week to see if electric seat would be coming available. Skoda UK confirmed that there was no plans to offer electric seats on the L&K, and what do you know 8 weeks later they are available. Feeling a bit disappointed now since I've already found it a bit of a pain adjusting the seat every time I use the car (which is only 3 times).

I suppose I can take it out on the new car feedback form for what is is worth.

On the configurator now it lists gobi sand alcantara as an option on the elegance.

Is this new?

That's definitely new Marie.

I guess this will please a lot of prospective owners & p off quite a few existing owners who wanted it but couldn't have it.

Or its yet another typical SUK c**k-up. The yes-no-yes re the availability of an electric seat in the L&K is another recent example. At least a couple of us on here who would have ordered that, had SUK/dealers been fully in the picture.

im sorry but the person who can't make a seat move by traditional means really needs to get with it

how did you cope before? ?

The point that perhaps you are missing is that the electric seat allows for a far larger degree of adjustments resulting in a comfier position. I'm sure all of us know how to adjust a manual seat with no issues. It also allows other option to be specified.

And offers better lumbar support. Yes I can move a seat by traditional means, just as I can use a fountain pen, but ...

Fountain pen ink is difficult to clean off the monitor though ;)

Electric seats with memory really come into their own where a car is often used by more than one driver. Bearing in mind the number of adjustments available these days (fore/aft, height, seat tilt, backrest angle, lumbar support) it could take a fair amount of time to set the seat up manually each time. (And you get the mirror positions thrown in...)

Agree with all the comments mine is driven by two drivers the memory seat adjust everything including the wing mirrors with just the push of a button. The non electric seat is fine but not as adjustable. And we cope easily thank you just like moving from a starting handle to a key thank you!

Just to let you know my dealer called today as my car is being built week 23 and that today was the last day I could change the spec. I asked if he could check about the electric seat, he called back after about 15mins to confirm you can add the electric memory seat to the L&K so I have !

I'm jealous, but good for you.

Get on the configurator quick ....You can order a Yeti 1.2 DSG Elegance for .....WAIT FOR IT.....

for £0. Metallic paint is a whopping £495 extra though.

Seem they REALLY have improved it a lot. (LOL).

They still need the use of a good Web Designer then.

I'm waiting for the 100% interest deal which would still be a real steal!!!

This is the Non Silverlight one by the way where you select from the Yeti model listing.

The 4 or 5 year warranty extension option is also showing £0.

And they've all got zero power!

So the troll was right then?
