Accessories not in brochure but available!

Featured Replies

Just ordered a blue 5 door Citigo Elegance 75 Greentech with Ivory interior to replace my lovely (but thirsty Superb 3.6 V6).

I wanted fixed window blinds for rear passenger doors and rear window (I have them on my Superb and love them). Could not find any listed in accessories by Skoda and Vanstyle who did my Superb ones don't do them either, but then I stumbled across them on a Czech skoda parts website (don't ask me for the link as I lost it) that listed them. Luckily I'd jotted down the part numbers:

1ST064363A (Rear side window blinds for 5 door)

1ST064361 (Boot space window blind)

So I called my local Skoda dealer and gave them the part numbers. Even though they're not listed anywhere I can find in any official Skoda accessories info, they can order me both, though they are on back order.

Only annoyance is that on the Czech website the blinds were £64 and £51 respectively, however Skoda UK want £85 and £140. I questioned the difference (especially for the rear window blind) but they could not explain it.

Out of curiosity I then went onto the official Czech Skoda website and found the accessories brochure for the Citigo - they can order a USB port/charging point between the back of the handbrake lever and the centre cup holder... shame we can't get things like that - can't see why.

Wow, that's some downsizing!

Cool! Guess my surfing skills leave something to be desired.

Do you think the side blind price is for one or a pair - (probably one, but it says blinds not blind)...

Yep, my commute has gone from 30 miles to 320 miles so have calculated that the Citigo will save me about £2800 per year compared to the Superb - it might not be quite as comfy (or as fast!) but the Citigo has cruise control, heated seats, sat nav and bluetooth which is everything I need for a nice long drive!

I tried to order the USB port to the rear of the handbrake (1ST 051 435) and was told that it was not an actual released part. I would like to fit one if I could get one?

The UK Seat Mii accessories brochure includes an armrest which is obviously compatible with the UP! and Citigo. I know of a couple of people who have ordered through a Seat dealer and fitted it themselves. The only thing missing for those long motorway trips...

Just looked at the Seat brochure and they list the rear blind at £36.50

They also list the arm rest at £175. I want one now!!

That's not a commute, it's an expedition!!

£36.50 for the Seat Mii rear blind - how the hell can Skoda (and Underwoods) charge well over £100 for the same thing. What a rip!

Tip : Save a fortune on an arm rest - use a pillow!

Easy, you get in the car and drive it.

The word 'city' is not relevant at all to this car. All the reports I read say its fine for longer journeys. AutoExpress drove theirs back from Eastern Europe and said it was more than capable. I tested one over 24 hours and found it quiet and comfy and well able to cope with a 60-70mph cruise - most of my journey is 60mph dual carriageway not 85mph + motorway anyway and with cruise control, heated seats, sat nav and bluetooth the Citigo has everything you need to keep you comfortable. I used to do Newcastle to London in a Smart ForTwo with no issues.
