Vrs s2000 owners

Featured Replies

As tittle says I am looking to see we're all the fabia vrs s2000 owners are I will start off. And also who has left all the stickers on.

N2eav - Aberdeen Scotland - stickers still on.

Can't decide which is worse - driving around in one all stickered up, or paying through the nose for it then removing the stickers!

Difference is not all people paid through the nose for the car ie ex demo and so on. Can't be any worse than driving around in a 500 lol

Touché lol!

Fair enough if you feel you got a good deal (despite the lack of VAT-free action). Only pulling your leg matey. Now where do I buy that graphics kit for my Abarth........

Have to say I like them all stickered up. :bandit:

If you don't have the balls to drive around in one with the stickers on you should have bought a standard one IMO.

They are only special because of the stickers, taking them off seems wrong. (like the mk1 Octy WRC)

Could be a bit much if you just want to pop down the shops for a pint of milk though. Unless it involves sliding sideways into the parking space.

Like picking up a girl sporting a wonderbra -all looks very promising..... only to peel 'em off to find she's standard underneath lol

Ive got one and paid much the same as a normal version at the time anyway. I had all the stickers removed other than leaving the white roof to tie in nicely with the white wheels. My was a demo car with a VRS number plate included. I did have it on loan for a weekend prior to purchase and for me it gained far too much attention with all its stickers. 18 more people to go.

Magic

Manchester, England. Stickers removed by dealer before collection.

Pointless IMO removing the stickers. Just buy a standard one and let those who want to buy them. They didn't do many of them and there's even less now the stickers have been removed. I know there's no technical difference between the two but still.

I phoned up the dealer to see if they had and fabia vrs' in stock which he replied they have two so I popped down, both stickered up, green white wheels and roof..s2000 stickers weren't the only stickers on the car at the time, it was an ex-demo all the dealers logos and name all over the show which looked absolutely hideous!

There was no mention that either cars on the forecourt were s2000 edition at the time of purchase and I knew nothing about them neither until I phoned TPS trade part specialist to order the eibach approved springs and sunglasses holder when telling the lad my registration he replied instantly is this your car and did you purchase it from Claybank motors..did you have the s2000 stickers left on..I was confused to what s2000 stood for and replied no, why. He then told me all about them and how there are only 20 made for the UK market and so on.

I wasn't to know if the dealer had mentioned anything I may have kept the s2000 stickers and had the dealers stickers removed!

P.s. sorry about the story! :)

Funny. Prior to buying mine I was in two minds what to do with the stickers prior to collection. I even asked for opinions on here. Nearly all said remove they look ****.

You had yours removed too I guess judging by the last picture?

Yes. The pictures with were taken when I had it on loan for the weekend test driving. After the finger pointing etc I decided to have them removed when I decided on the car upon return. I think with the roof and white wheels it does look far nicer. Price wise it was the same as the other they had in stock but I wanted the green.

I agree people were pointing and looked as if they were taking the Michael but it did look horrendous with the dealers emblem n name plastered over the top of the s2k stickers

1 here in south yorks,england

Stickers still on,all workmates and me kids love 'em so for now they can stop on and maybe keep scratches at bay

Ive even done a replica on forza 4 (on a polo) for tag virus but not sure how to put pics up

Personally i would never say to someone that i drove a S2000 if i actually drove just a vRS with stickers.

I don't think people do.

Even the OP wrote VRS S2000. A VRS special edition S2000, which is what it is.

Can't see how it's any different to the Octavia VRS WRC, which is a VRS to celebrate the WRC. Everyone knows it's a VRS, not a WRC car.

"Everyone",

maybe lots of people who know what Skoda does with naming vehicles & 'limited Editions', not so sure about everyone.

They appear to give names and stickers and not much else to make them 'Special' & often not that 'Limited',

ie

'Monte Carlo', & its going on and on still, the year stickers are a mystery to many..

george

I've got one  Dealer had already removed the stickers. I liked the look from the side, but not the front & back.

Monte Carlo has a bespoke set of external trim not available on other models I believe.

Anyway, I see you don't get it. But I don't think owners of the VRS S2000 are actually trying to pretend to others they drive a rally car.

At only 20 cars, many of which seem to have lost the stickers they may well be the rarest special edition going. Even if they are a stickered celebration model rather than a rally replica.

Correct

And to be fair if anyone asks me what car I own I just tell em its a vrs fabia

Dont mention the s2000 some mates joke it looks like a courtesy car. :)

I actually never implied that anyone was trying to pretend they had a Rally Car.

(enough already that RS or vRS means 'Rally Sport' or 'Skoda Rally Sport'.)

I said, 'i would not say i drove a S2000 if it was just a vRS with Stickers'

The stuff at the time (2010) said it was to be a limited '200' vRS S2000's

(EDIT< i see now it was to be a limited 20 Right hand drives to come to the UK.)

?Did they (vRS S2000) come Numbered or with special certificates or anything other than the Decals?

I agree with the post on the 'R2'
