Tavia RS spill the beans

Featured Replies

In seven months I have seen only minor clues as to what is actually under the bonnet of your car and what else has been done to it.Otherwise it seems cloaked in secrecy. It seems to keep up with exotica using all of it's 68 horses

Reason I ask is I followed a 325i BMW this morning that seemed to have the EXACT same map of the 'holiday isle' stuck on its rear

So,has that lancia 8.32 ferrari engine been dropped in the 'sdi'.Is the 'map' a special code or something or is sticking a map on the back of your car becoming the new go faster stripe?

Come on,cough up :D

It's the map on the boot that does it....he just sticks the map on and away it goes

I can vouch for the fact that it is a 1.9 Sdi I've seen it written on the boot :D

It's not 68 bhp you know

Its a whale choking 74 :D

As to the holiday isle, what can I say? I've been to the Isle of Wight a few times and have really enjoyed it, so it seemed only right to promote it.

As for the exotica, I reckon I caught them unawares. :(

I mean why on earth would anyone be driving fast on a racetrack

Would I lie to you? ;)

Would I lie to you? ;)

Yes - SDI's are 64 hp it is your previous 1.4 16v that was 75 hp :D

Ah but mine is chipped to 74 :haha:

Anyone for Cluedo? :P

Ah but mine is chipped to 74 :haha:

:rofl::rofl:

In that case you should get a RAGE back box and a universal MAX POWER induction kit and break the 100bhp mark ;)

Nah, I'll stick with my minor remap and the Magic Tree airfreshener (worth a good 5 bhp) ;)

ive always been impressed with your SDI, we could all learn from this. i thought ur SDI had an airfreshener, thought it gave 7bhp tho ;)

And not even a Pikey mod in sight!

Imagine if Jon had all these...what a beast his SDI would be. ;)

Are you lot extracting the urine? :grumpy:

Not all of us can afford ripsnorting RSes, be they proper petrol ones or ones that suck from the mucky pump :(

Some of us have to "make do" with lower powered, lower spec models with limited tuning potential.

No. I agree. Not everyone can afford an RS.

Well, some people choose to run remapped Elegance spec's because they're cheaper to insure than a standard VRS ;)

Oh don't you start with ya lardie-dah Elegance spec :grumpy:

PS I assume that torque figure is at tickover and not a peak figure :haha:

:rofl::D

& what you laughing at with ya black magic, ESP equipped, Carlos Fandango edition?

Look, just because I prefer "frugal" to "tarmac shredding" I don't think it is right that I should be mocked :doublegrumpy:

PS I assume that torque figure is at tickover and not a peak figure :haha:

You know that map reminds me of a place in germany............... ;)

Nah it can't be :o

Anyway what good is the map on the back of the car when you are driving ?

It was fitted by a friend as he said I'd be quicker getting out and pushing it, so it'd be handy to have a quick reference :D

Jon, do I actually have to go to the isle of Wight to get one of those map stickers?

Also, I hear your taxi was unfairly robbed of its factory "SDI" letters :( I guess you managed to pick up a replacement set at the dealer? Any idea how much they cost? ;)

Good point and as the old joke goes

Why does a Skoda have a rear heated windscreen ?

So you can warm your hands up on it whilst pushing it

Replacement set was free, as they took pity on me (I am but a poor SDI driver after all). :D

Oh and yes you do have to go to "the Isle" to get the stickers :D

Must have taken a long time to get there in an SDI.

Yep, even longer than it would take in a froggy ponsemobeel :haha:

Close run thing though :D
