Skoda Octavia VRS noise in Dashboard

Featured Replies

Hi, I wonder if anyone could help me. I have experienced a noise in the passenger side of the dash of my Octavia Vrs . It comes on mainly when I put my car in reverse. It sounds like a pumping sound. I have been told it may be something to do with the air conditioning. Whats strange is how does the car know its in reverse and what connection is there. I have heard a slight noise before which does sound like the air con which sounded pretty normal. If the key is turned off it resets it and the noise disappears

It will be the air con going into recirculation mode when selecting reverse, a normal feature.

How do you get rid of the noise because it is very noisy if something is functioning correctly as it never used to do it. If it is a faulty part what could it be
