Anyone surprised? :D

Nope!

I predict that someone will be along to strike a different note.

Just the one...

One day Auto Express will run a 'best taxi' award ... :giggle:

I agree with Richard that the Yeti is the best all rounder - period!

I am in the process of selling my Urban and will regret very much seeing it go. No faults at all in a year's ownership.

Top marks to you Skoda on a brilliant model, but please retain the quirky Yeti styling features on the face-lift, and not go down the new corporate Skoda look.

The links on that page under the Top 10 are all stuffed up! The Yeti link points to the Superb and both the LR & Merc links include yeti in the url and result in a page not found!

That issue will be far too expensive, still expect a tip, and any surveys will be long and convoluted :D

Told you so!

I bet VW has sponsored the survey.

No **** Sherlock! That'll explain why no VW features in the winners.

I bet VW has sponsored the survey.

That'll be why VW came first, second and third then. :D

I'm sure they love being beaten by their "budget" brand EVERY year.

Not on my machines they won't :)

Yeti is very young car yet, good looking and practical too. Today seldom any car brakes within warranty period even hyundai or kia.

We'll see what will happen in next 2-3 years with rating, it will be more meaningful if yeti still wins then.

Unqualified statement I am afraid.

Many new cars go wrong in their first year, some brands more than others (Fiat/Peugeot etc). Anyway, why do you keep knocking the Yeti - and why are you not loyal to the Skoda brand, especially as I see you are an Octavia owner.

No surprise here then!!! I saw it in the morning newspaper and went to buy the rag. What's even more amazing than three Škodas in the top ten is that there is an Alfa Romeo in the top ten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is indeed, but that's mainly due to the owners rating its performance, braking, & handling so highly.

It was 88th for build quality!

Haha. Some things never change eh?!

Personally Im amazed to see a Renault and a LR Discovery in there!!!

Must admit that I never really see the point or value of these surveys - they should be labelled 'for amusement only'. Any useful information that they may contain is totally mixed in with the fact the owners of some makes/models will be more self-congratulatory than others and less willing to admit to mistakes that they made in their choice of vehicles or issues that they've encountered. So any hard facts are seriously diluted with subjectivity.

See my comment on that when we covered this subject last year:

I think the Fleet News reliability survey is far more representative .....
