Bit of fun here.

Sent this by moneysupermarket, thought I'd share it just for kicks, no benefits incurred.

Given a shortlist of cars, See poll, vote for your favourite to win 12 pts. Discuss influence below :)

e-Type, no just because it's UK, but it's iconic, remember seeing one very early in life and just wow... for years wanted to own a v12, not sure now, bank balance won't support it.

But regardless, it's an iconic car, timeless design.

The Konisgesg. Their series on YouTube is deeply impressive and shows what an impressive firm they are.

If it wasn't for that, I'd say the e-type on its beauty and how it fared against the competition at the time.

Despite it being French, i've gone for the Bugatti Veyron myself. Funny to see the Seat Mii and Skoda Octavia up against the likes of the Bugatti, Porsche and Ferrari though. :D

The Porsche 911, because it's every bit as much an icon as the E-Type, and even more of a sales and motorsport success.

I've gone for the porker. It's as iconic as the E-type IMO, but crucially for me it's still in production and unlike most of the others can be used as an everday drive

The Koenigsegg, because it's utterly bonkers and looks stunning.

The others are either trying too hard, or not hard enough.

I voted for the Koenigsegg too ,pure theater, ten years on still is amazing , nearly bought an E type in the 80s when values were on the floor

While I hate having to vote for a SEAT, my vote would go to the Mii.

Anyone can build a great car by throwing a lot of money at it.

But the Mii and it's brothers represent cheap to buy and run cars that can be used on motorways or in town.

A car is mainly a means of transport and the Mii does what a lot of people need without breaking the banks in the current financial situation, plus it's fun to drive.

SImilar reasons to Richard, I voted for the Octavia. I've owned five so far and they were flawless, reliable, economical and bullet proof. Couldn't vote for a seat after I had one as a hire car in March, it was nealry new but badly put together. Leaky windows, water int he headlights etc.

Octavia saved my life by withstanding the impact from a very large tree while I was driving along

Son of a birch! That must have been a proper brown trouser moment.

I voted Koenigsegg, they're truly bonkers cars and as above they're made by an amazing company.

actually no, I was on the phone to my mum and said "I'll call you back I think a wee branch has landed on the car". Then I realised what had happened. The Fire brigade were all asking me to pick them some lottery numbers

I've gone for the Porsche 911 as I've always loved the shape, and the way it's evolved over the years. You can just tell a 911 from whatever era.

I've yet to see a Seat Meh.

911, I will have one on my drive one day.

That friends, is a promise.

Koenigsegg ccxr for me. Purely for the exhaust note. It sounds like god clearing his throat :)

Impossible choice between 911 and Koenigsegg - V8 won in the end - nothing can beat the soundtrack :)

in what way is the veyron French?

Because he was born in Italy and the firm then got bought up by a huge German maker of generic cars!

Seriously though, Bugatti changed to become a French citizen, so I assume it's down to that.

But the engine was designed and developed in Germany :giggle: by VW was it not?

Brandy, bread, cheese, wine...

Italy. But not for the Enzo. For Lambos and Ferrari's F40 and before.

Proper poster cars when I was a young un.

Ferrari Enzo for me..... now before I get ridiculed hear me out...

For as long as I can remember I have been a Ferrari fan, through F1 and a love of the road cars.

Too many people are smashing up Enzo's. I need to have to preserve it and try and get a breeding programme started. They are endangered species.

Brandy, bread, cheese, wine...

Forgotten some HOT ladies, hmmm - just dropping in to check on the results - mad swedish V8 still doing well :)

Porsche 911 = mainly it was the first car I really took notice of.
