Opinions on "anthracite"grey Vrs.

Featured Replies

Looking to change my race blue Vrs and my brother is buying mine off me,I love blue or white but never considered any other colour.

I'm getting a good deal on a 12 reg anthracite grey Vrs but not 100% sold on the colour. The car is like new with only 7k on it.

What's others opinion on anthracite grey and do u think it stands out less than blue or white in a Vrs?

I like it. Was second choice for me after race blue when I got mine.

Will probably go the equivalent grey on the new one when I come to replace, as whilst race blue looks great clean it does show dirt quite badly

it stands out less, yes. i think that's why people buy anthracite tbh.

love the anthracite on our Elegance, especially when it's clean.

our only concern when we got it (2010) was that it seemed to be popular colour for lots of other cars: VWs /Audis /focus /Nissans especially

Love mine, really suits the car and is quite subtle. Its also not very common, on the vRS atleast.

Its a nice colour,i think the vrs looks well in anthracite. Buy it! :-)

I went to buy a car listed as anthracite, and when i got there, its actually Black Magic.

Bought it anyway. cant wait till saturday

Colour is a very personal thing. Anthracite doesn't work for me but it's not a bad colour either.

Race blue is still my fav, but I like the VRS in white and the vivid green.

My last Vrs was race Blue and they do look nice but is a common colour

Yellow is now the New Blue

My LE is anthracite. I love it especially when she's polished. Race blue is nice but as common as muck in my opinion.

It has to be white or blue for me

Get used to cleaning it...a lot

Nice colour i think :)

I love the Anthracite. Go for it, you won't be disappointed, you don't see many around. Everyone has the Race Blue and White. :)

Race Blue is definatly the best colour, white is just too 'taxi' for me, grey is a nice balance to be different.

Anthracite is a very good choice: understated IMO. Perfect for a Vrs.

But I'd choose a green one (not sure the official name for it) if I was buying one.

Yes the green one with a black roof looks awesome.

,,,,anything but yellow.....

I originally hankered after a Race Blue one too, but having seen a brand new Anthracite estate in a showroom the combination of availability, specification, price etc when I spotted a pre-reg one converted me instantly to the (IMHO) classier Anthracite. Very happy with mine and it scrubs (not literally) up very well. There are actually more of them about than you think (here in the south at least) as they stand out less than the Race Blue, Yellow, Green or White ones so do tend to attract less (sometimes unwelcome) attention.

Excellent colour to choose, go for it.

I think you should hold tough and buy a red one :p

LOL

I quite like the yellow one!

If only they did an orange one... Hhhhuuuummmm!!!

In anthracite it'll be a subtle stealth car if that floats your boat. Grey is always a popular colour so you'll have a bigger potential audience when you choose to move it on and the dealer will be keen to have it in part ex, unlike yellow which is a marmite colour.

I'd buy it....

My anthracite one is three years old and has just had its six monthly detailing - it looks fabulous. To be fair it doesn't often look really dirty but it looks awesome when its clean.

Very understated - which I think is the point. But then I bought a silver one, which is a colour notable by its absence from this thread so far...

Race blue petrol with standard interior for in your face leariness. Anthracite derv with leather interior for a bit more understated class ;)
