vrs temp

Featured Replies

That's good news - and a lot cheaper than changing the water pump (and timing belt).

Due anyway, every 4 years or 60,000.

Get the full belt kit and pump done pronto!

autodata states it every 40000 miles or 4 years .... for the cambelt

So its 40,000 now?

Temp still holding at 90 but since I changed the thermostat the heater is not getting very warm any ideas.

Air lock, was the heater put on hot while you filled up?

I never drained the system so there was only a min loss of coolant

What about when you topped it up?

No I did not

The heater being on hot is a myth. Even if it the climate was turned off, the water would still flow around the usual channels.

Best bet is to get it upto temp with the header cap off and give the pipes a good squeeze.

With the engine running and warm coolant cap off, put heater on max and try squeezing the pipes. Not sure how accessible they are tho
