Anybody ever used this mega flex silicone pipe http://www.viperperformance.co.uk/productsearch.php?xscId=9853&mat=120947 I'm wandering if its possible to use this and leave out some of the alloy pipes therefore having less joints and less possible leaks....Any idea why this wouldn't work.

Interesting.

The one issue I would consider is how the pipe's shape is maintained inside the engine bay. Something with a bit of rigidity would almost certainly be better..... But brackets can be fabricated.

Alongside this, I'm also looking at parts for the lower pipe. Dose this look along the right lines?

60-51mm Coupler

50-51mm Coupler

Silicon Bend 51mm Dia, 90 Deg

Any good to you,has longer legs than the standard 150mm, each one being 300mm so you could cut it down.

If you get this sorted, are you doing a guide?

Allard now do these for the vrs on ebay at 179 with EGR delete race pipe or will do you just the bended pipe for 75. I have taken just the bended pipe and will buy the darkside small EGR delete and retain the ASV on my blt fabia. As I nearly had a runaway I wouldn't recommend removing fully the ASV and EGR.

Yeh just the pipe. It arrived today but to be honest the quality is quite poor, welding isn't great dunno why they couldn't of just bent a tube and knurled the ends. Probably going to send it back

Looking good mate remember when you com to fit it you need to cut a bit off the larger side of the 90 degree bend and also a bit off the bottom of the 45 degree :)

How much did you need to cut off the bottom mate? Done the top but not attempted the bottom as yet.

Sorted it now. But now I'm thinking I might get the Airtec front mount with pipewoek off eBay for £495. Going to be keeping the car for s few more years so will do front mount and EGR delete while I'm at it. So this will be for sale shortly haha.

So at the weekend I thought I'd fit my top boost pipe as everyone is aware the skoda ones are prone to boost leaks

For anyone that's interested I put together a list of the pipes etc needed to make your own also remember that the silicone hoses do need bits cutting off each end to fit hope this helps people that want to do the same :)

1x type a coupler

60mm clip side outside diameter (o.d) male coupling, suitable for a 51mm internal diameter (i.d) hose.

1x type d coupler

64mm clip side outside diameter (o.d) male coupling, suitable for a 61mm internal diameter (i.d) hose.

Both from this seller - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-AUDI-SEAT-SKODA-TDI-FSiT-ALLOY-BAYONET-BOOST-HOSE-INTERCOOLER-HOSE-COUPLER-/150802992992?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item231c8f0f60

2" 51mm O.D stainless steel bend - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320782541076

1x 45degree 51mm internal silicone hose. - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290470155679?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Please feel free to ask any questions or anything

Hope this helps :)

Only if all the items in the links where still available my pipes are leaking so bad and I need to do this on mine.
