Recommend me an independent garage near Bracknell or Reading

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm looking for a recommendation for an independent garage in the Bracknell/Reading area. I've used main dealers before and good to really bad experiences (one actually damaged the car and denied everything, basically said tough!)

I'm after a 148,00 mile service, investigate a noisy clutch bearing (eek!) and a wobble from the front wheel at motorway speeds. Oh and its an Octy Vrs 54 plate

The speed wobble was introduced by a main dealer and trashed tyres, but I had it laser tracked and found they'd knocked the 'toe in' right out and the tracking was out. I got that sorted, the tyres do OK now, but the wobble is still there.

Thanks in Advance,

Davvers

Wobble is probably just wheel balancing. Noisey clutch is probably failing DMF!!

VAG specialists, they also do supercharging.

I have used them for my vW T4 and octavia TDI estate.

Ended up getting serviced and some extra work, but not anything else.  New clutch etc was recommended, but given the age and miles on the car did seem worth it. Eventually the noise went away !
