Can someone please help... I have a vrs se '07' plate with 33k on clock, there is a vary small rust spot on the side of the sill, yet when I have been to the Skoda dealer, all they keep saying is it's a stone chip.... It definately isn't this because the paint hasn't chipped, its just a small bubbling of rust which seems to be coming from inside the sill outwards.. so I was wondering if anybody out there can give me some guidence to what I can do or go??

Thankyou for any suggestions

try a different dealer and argue your point if necessary ?

I've just had mine into my local (Arnold Clark, Inverness), where they didn't seem to know a whole lot about the paint warranty. Long story short, they sent photos to HQ, and I now have an 'independent paint technician' coming to look at my mine.

Try a different dealership if you can.

Or get someone reputable that knows about paint/bodywork to support you in writing? It will be harder for them to deny then...

Mines started doing the same in the same place. Since mines 10 years old this year I'd kinda accepted the fact that it was going to be down to me to sort it. If I had an 5 year old one I would be inclined to try the warranty, but you'd have been in a stronger position had you shown them before it broke through the paint, no argument that it was a stone chip then. Worth a go still though.

its still worth giving it a shot for the sake of half an hour at the dealers you never know you may be surprised
