Sometimes I just despair......

Featured Replies

SWMBO gets into the Fabia to go to work this morning. 2 minutes later she's back through the front door complaining that the key won't turn in the ignition.

Despite the fact that I'm helping the youngest clean his teeth and I've only got one shoe on, I dash out the door to see what might be wrong.

I opened the drivers door...............to see the keys to the Superb in the ignition.

I realise that the keys themselves look similar but the bunches that they're on are totally different! Mine has more keys and attachments, hers is pretty much a car key and a front door key! How the hell she didn't notice as soon as she picked them up is anyone's guess.....

Did the superb key unlock your Fabia though?

Errr.... no.

Did the superb key unlock your Fabia though?

I was wondering how she got into the car too. :)

Count yourself lucky she didn't get it recovered to a dealer - it happens more than you might think :(

If it had been my SWMBO she'd have broken the key off in the lock before I got to it and probably kicked a hole in the windscreen for good measure.

Too many jokes available about slipping one in the wrong .............etc.

(so probably best not to mention them.)

If it was the Superb key that was already in the ignition, how did she use it to unlock and open the door?

(Sorry, just realised the question had already been asked)

Probably too lazy to lock it in the first place lol

Where do you keep your keys? Not by the front door?

Totally OT, but what will you do with your forum name if you ever sell one of them? :)

 Good point....

Actually, when I first registered, we both had Octavias. Then she replaced her Octavia with a Toyota Verso :o as she needed 7 seats. During that black period, I just kept her Octavia in my sig with a line through it and Verso next to it!

The Verso has now gone :whew: and the Fabia has taken its place

SWMBO is not a member here by any chance? ;)

No! :whew:

No! :whew:

But she could be lurking :bandit:

But she could be lurking :bandit:

I think we would know by now :punch:

So did we work out how she managed to unlock the Fabia with the Superb key!?

You're all so concerned over the keys, I think everyone has missed the really disturbing element to this tale, namely....

Despite the fact ........ I've only got one shoe on, I dash out the door to see what might be wrong.

indecent exposure, outraging public decency..........whatever would the neighbours think if they twitched their net curtains at that exact moment!??!

Gwilo awesome :D

The sight of that Hobbit-hairy foot would have been no doubt highly traumatic :).

Yes, but how did she get into the Fabia?

My better half does this really annoying thing of leaving the house to take the kids to school, but forgetting I'm still in the house and double locking the door on me, so I'm rushing to get out and have to faff about undoing two sets of locks. If it isn't that, it's the opposite and she's left the door wide open, thinking I'm just leaving behind her when in fact I'm in the shower.

I do love her though

Yes, but how did she get into the Fabia?

Did it actually happen!?

Did it actually happen!?

there is a small amount of curiosity that needs to be cured by the OP, I agree ;)

OP: HOW THE BEJEEZUS DID SHE GET INTO THE FABIA AND GET THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION.

I hope he heard

The Fabia had been locked but I'd been out to it earlier to load a box of teaching resources into the boot.

The plot thickens!
