sounds like a plan I'll see what tyres I have then, passes noise test on rallies which is 98db at 4500rpm so should be no problem there.

Cool - sounds like an interesting car to have on clubstand alone, but I am sure if you make it there, you will want to give it a bit of a caning,

I've got a car full coming along but as its the Fabia we won't have casa de button in tow to provide bacon rolls.

im heading up to Chipping Norton for a Porsche thrill in the afternoon so a morning session in the Octy would be an awesome completion for the day....

 

how much fuel do you reckon is needed for the session? would only manage 1 session I imagine as I would need to head off again.

Going to be difficult to split out as all sessions currently £51 for two.  When do you need to head off as final session will end at noon, Chipping Norton is about hour & 1/4 drive I think.

 

One session in a mk1 Octy, looking at perhaps driving about 15 miles at most, at about say 8 to 10mpg?  So say 2 gallons of fuel per session at worst?

Jason, I believe from previous organising of stands/track time at Combe Action Days that cars out on the track must be MOT'ed as its a public day and not a test day.

 

May be worth reading up on it

"Ensure that your vehicle is in suitable condition for circuit driving and is to MOT Test Standards"

 

so MOT standard, but not MOT in force?

OK - after taking two cash payments today (it was only two yes.... ) there are now two more on the list.

This year, Combe should be much more aware of our sessions with two booked and the fact I have an invoice stating times, etc.

If they're not running behind, I don't see much point leaving for the track session until 10.15.   Takes about 15 mins for everyone to get through, then another 15 to wait for the session.

I was thinking about how it'l take to herd everyone to thier cars and get them moving.

Yeah, I guess with sound testing at that bit around the back end of the paddock, it might be best to leave closer to 10.  There's no rush though.  I can't believe it will take three quarters of an hour to get from the stand to the track.

 

Everyone will be itching to go anyway....  This is what caused the f*** up at the last one, people getting itchy trigger fingers and going up early.

Except for me, because I wasn't driving.
