Got mine last night. Very nice to drive and some flowers for the wife. They put a spare wheel in but I had to pay for it and never got mats or a bottle of oil :(

I have since found mats online for £18 so got them ordered.

The only thing I don't like is the door open handle on the inside. I can see that being snapped off at some poiint, other than that it's great.

So here she is. What do you recommend for polish / wax etc? Invest in Autoglym?

Mine came with mats, oil in a little zipped bag and half a tank of fuel.

No flowers for the Missus but my son got a model Skoda Yeti,the Salesman didn't have any Fabias!

About a week after I got the car, we got a MoonPig card from the salesman as well, never had that before.

I'm more than happy with the whole Skoda experience from the car to the customer service, I couldn't fault it really.

I always used to use Autoglym wax on my VWs, but I found this Carnauba wax product to be superior: JORGEN'S CARNAUBA GLIMMER WAX (An acquaintance with a classic Porsche put me onto it).

Others will no doubt post their favourite, but this one, IMHO, is a good compromise between cost and performance.

Personally I used halfords car polish on my current car only 3.50 for 500mls and it last a good few washes!

I use Meguiars Carnuba Plus polish and the shampoo, the water just beads off when you wash it and nothing seems to stick to the paintwork.

I think it expensive but I got it as a free gift so can't complain.

Well picked up my monte an hour ago and all I can say is I love it! Off to pick the go up now so we'll see if she likes it too! What a machine!

I popped into the dealer to hand over some paperwork (their fault for not asking for it in the first place) and mentioned about the oil bottle and the guy just went to a showroom car and handed me one. Result!

I got mats off Amazon, perfect fit with the holes in too.

Nope, my Diesel Monte had the oil too.

it's normal for a new engine to consume a bit of oil in the running in period, that's why they provide a bottle of oil - think it's quite a smart move

I got none did in the vrs. Noticed in the dealers a load of 1ls of oil for sale cheap
