polish/wax

Featured Replies

right, going to this VeeDubya festival on sunday and could really do with some real good polish/wax and other cleaning products to get the car all spiffy in time. what can i get at fairly short notice(as in not mail order) that will do a good job?

Halfords are starting to do the Meguiars range. It's pretty good stuff & the Cleaner Wax polishes & waxes in 1 step. I think it's about

halfrauds do zymol, take it off wet though dont leave it for half an hour, and do it a panel at a time its really good stuff. I want to try some of that new autoglym polish thats clear, should save on back to black!!!!!

Will you be on a briskoda stand or somewhere else?

Mike, Be carefull with the new autoglym polish. I tried it and the results were cr@p. It goes patchy and streaky and even after some experimentation I just couldn't get a good finish. The original is still better, but you will get lots of white dust.

I've tried the Zymol Cleaner Wax from Halfords & I didn't rate it. Incredibly hard to buff up without leaving streaks. It smells nice though! :D

The Zymol Auto Wash stuff is good, but I'm gonna try something else once the bottle runs out.

the zymol is difficult if you leave it to dry, one panel at a time, straight on then straight off, works a treat.
