Timing Chain Cover Oil Leak

After Changing my timing chain this weekend (1.4 mpi) I realised there was an oil leak and it appears to be coming from a nut on the timing chain cover, about 3/4 of the way up, in the middle so it is sort of surrounded by the serpentine belt.

I was just wondering what this nut is for and if I am correct in thinking it has a reverse thread.
