Removing front seats

Featured Replies

I'm wondering if anyone can help?

I've not got any of the correct sockets that will help me remove the front seats. I'm wanting to give it a good clean out and there is so much rubbish the hoover can't get!!

Can anyone provide me with the correct size of socket that I would need?

Thanks in advance :)

Its a good idea to replace the bolts unless you want to push your luck too.....otherwise could become a bigger job than you first think

As an alternative to a splined bit you can get them out with a good quality 13mm splined socket .I know the outside is round but I used a Draper Expert 13mm splined socket on one seat bolt ( always the last one ) which refused to budge & I stripped the internal splines. It was tight, but I hammered it on & the bolt came out easily . The socket wasn't damaged either which is a bonus.

I'm assuming you can just replace then with standard m10 bolts too??

Yes, but difficult to get a socket over to tighten because of the seat rails.

Ahh yeah, so it would. Thanks

Does anyone know if this would be a suitable to replace the bolt?!
