White with black...yeah or nay?

Featured Replies

I see you can purchase black pillars and wing mirror casing from superskoda.

I've created a gif to show the before and after.

Do you guys think its looks better or not?

Edited to include white wing mirrors with black pillars.

Further edited to include just black mirrors.

  • Maybe someone with a black Yeti would want them?

either looks OK but I think the white is better the black seems to cut the car into three sections!

The body colour middle pillar (to me) is one of the features of the design.

It leaves you with a wrap around darkened rear screen and a wrap around front clear screen.

Personally prefer it like that.

But having said that, the white/black combo looks better than all the other attempts I've seen, including odd coloured roofs.

If I had gone for a white car I think I would have gone for the black pillars (although I understand the comment about cutting the car into three sections) but I think I'd have left the wing mirrors white.

That's a BIG +1 for me!

Have edited the gif to show white wing mirrors......better?

Close call when you see them one after the other but, yep, stick with the white wing mirrors and have the black pillars. And the Heko wind deflectors which I think suit the carand are practical (yes, it's a typical rainy, summer day down south).

I had my roof and wing mirrors wrapped in black yesterday - looks fantastic (will post pictures when I have time/feel up to the expertise involved). What also looks fantastic is the B-pillars still in white.

As a bit of a purist I think the mirror caps look good in black and are closer to the original YETI concept car. These did not have the body colour on the mirror caps so the black enhances the floating roof design. This is due to the A-Pillars being in black rather than the body colour so black mirror caps work for me.

The black door pillars though obviously loose the floating roof effect but the car still looks ok but less distinctive.

Would like to see a third option in your gif of black mirror caps only.

I personally prefer the black B pillars and black wing mirrors.MarieK they ought to have you in the Design Dept at Skoda, brilliant imagining.

Tony

Both are nice TBH. :)

The question is, which do YOU prefer.

It's not really that important what we think as we're not paying for it, or driving it, unless you fancy getting an additional keyfob for me. ;)

Looking on the bright side, if you go off the idea later you can put the car back to standard. Or try something else.

If you bought one with a wierd colour painted roof you are stuck with it. :)

Black mirror only option added.

All white. Love the innocent, virginal, look.

At the moment any of them would work for me...I just want my car to hurry up and arrive.

Ha, it wouldn't be that way for long with you around :giggle:

Covering the B-pillars makes the Yeti look like a boring estate car from the 80s. NO, NO, NO! You take away one of it's only two distinct design signature elements (B-pillar and front fog lights). Look at my signature below... just with that B-pillar swoop and a few lines you know what car you're looking at. Take it away and that sketch could be of any estate car.

But GLOSS black mirrors (to match the A, C and D pillars) is a definite yes.

(And you need to thus edit the GIF to show black mirrors and white B-pillar!)

The all "black" makes it look like it has a racoon mask.

Works ok but looks unusual.

Have I not included that already? :wonder:

Perhaps my screen needed a refresh... but it certainly wasn't there when I posted. It is now yes. :giggle:

I have the black glossy ones on mine and I think they enhance the side view, it's down to personal taste but especially on white I would add them

All white or +black door mirrors if you insist.

I passed a new all black Nissan juke yesterday,Nismo?

It had Red door mirrors and roof.(Yes I know ,not all black.)

I didn't like that at all.....

Am liking the clean look of the black mirror caps. Think I will be inquiring about the price of having them vinyl wrapped on my white Yeti.

I also like the black mirrors look, but agree with others b pillar in black is a no no.
