I'll decide when I get the car, might put the black ones on to see how it looks. I can always remove them again if I dont like them.

  • Incidentally the guys who did my wrapping yesterday (the Leeds branch of the Totally Dynamic franchise) were extremely impressed by the build quality of the Yeti. Actually, that's not really true - th

  • Maybe someone with a black Yeti would want them?

  • Irrespective of what it looks like, I have to say I'm impressed with your skills MarieK.

Ahhh...Candy white! My personal favorite color for a Yeti... And what a great viewing pleasure it will be with those black decals, esp with the trimmed ones! But if there was a chance having them in a grey degrading to transparent I'd go for them. And I also like the white caps on mirrors as they match the white pilars too and produce another nice detail for the eye to stumble upon too.

Now I wish my wife hadnt talked me into getting our little monster in black... Lol. Oh well after all she will be cherished when she finally arrives all the same :)

Life is what happens while we make ... plans!

Covering the B-pillars makes the Yeti look like a boring estate car from the 80s. NO, NO, NO! You take away one of it's only two distinct design signature elements (B-pillar and front fog lights). Look at my signature below... just with that B-pillar swoop and a few lines you know what car you're looking at. Take it away and that sketch could be of any estate car.....

I do agree, the sweep of colour up the centre pillar is a distinctive look of the yeti, seems a shame to obliterate it with black.

See my 'Clingfilm Car' thread for pictures of my black and white modified monster.

On balance I reckon I prefer to keep the B-pillars body colour. As others have said, they are a distinctive part of the "Yeti" look.

Yep having thought about it I agree with the above statement.

+1 most definitely!

+1 and another vote for the white 'B' pillar

Yes - body colour

Marie.

The bottom of the doors are immediately above the black sill.

I think if the stripe was further down, centred between the door bottom and rubbing strip, it might balance out and not make the car look bottom heavy. (Opens door for Bob to charge through)

The doors look as though they curve further down though?

I'll have a look when I get the car.

Still not sure if I'll be using the black decals or getting the gradient ones :wonder:

The gradient ones get my vote.

+1 the solid ones just don't seem to work for me.

It was the gradient ones that appealed in the first place.

Anyone want a set of black decals?

The solid black ones might look better on another colour?

Apart from black :giggle:

On a black car the word yeti would have to be replaced with RIP :giggle:

I've emailed the supplier to ask which ones are graded.

I think they may be 'grey white' but want to be sure before I spend more money.

Might ask them to put the word skint on mine

You would think with the amount of interest from Briskoda Yeti owners the "boys in Estonia" would consider doing the graduated ones as well as the solid ones.

They've told me the same as they told you, they dont do graduated decals. And yet the image on their site looks like a graduated one?! :wonder:

Graduated (dark) Yeti side foils as per picture.. 5L0 071 733A, can only find them on the Skoda eshop which is only avaiable in the Czech republic price 2,622CZK which I recon is £85.

I have asked in the "ask Skoda" section on this forum if it was possible for UK to have a UK e shop, or if Czech e shop could be made available to UK, as there is some nice stuff available you can't get here, but as yet no responce.

Yeah, looks like the dark one is for light coloured cars, and the light one for the dark colours if you get my drift

Can be seen on page 4 of this brochure....http://www.skoda.ie/brochures/Documents/accessories/20_yeti_accessories_eng.pdf
