2011 Giant XTC Composite 0 hard tail MTB - unused

Featured Replies

I bought this brand new a while ago direct from Germany, but realistically, due to illness, know I'm never going to get around to using it for anything but the most leisurely ride, and it's far too good for that

Never ridden since bought, I've added a set of brand new XT pedals to complete the groupset (Giant rarely provide pedals even on their most expensive bikes)

The whole groupset is XT, 20-speed double chainset, disc brakes, levers, gear changers, front and rear mechs, chain, pedals and wheels, Schwalbe tubeless tyres, Fox front suspension, Giant bars, stem, seat pin and Fizik Tundra saddle

The weight, or lack of it, is astonishing for a front suspension MTB

Finished in a deep matt grey and blue, it really is the dog'd testicles of mountain bikes

I'm after £1400 or very near offer

Feel free to PM me for any further info

Collection only due to risk of damage - would be willing to meet up somewhere at fuel cost if distance is within reason

Pics now added to original post

Gorgeous looking bike. Shame I'd need a larger size or else I'd be sorely tempted. Good luck with the sale!

It is a gorgeous bike indeed, just a shame my state of health isn't up to making good use of it :(

Price now dropped to £1400

It's an absolute steal at that

Bargain price. I paid not far off that for my aluxx framed xtc.

Lovely bike, if I had the cash I'd have it!

A lovely bike and as Bryan has said it's a bargain for that. Shame I don't have a use for one any more as I made the switch to road bikes. I always preferred hard tails too.

Can't believe someone off ebay has had the cheek to offer me £900 for this........................he's been told where to stick his £900  :)

And you even say in your ad what you've been diagnosed with. Bet he's the type of bloke who'd pawn his Grandmother's jewellery. Lots on eBay like that.

It has a full groupset which many are overlooking. Lots say for example it a "Shimano 105 Groupset" when it's normally only the crank or the dérailleur. The main reason I bought my road bike was because it was all 105 like this is with XT

"And you even say in your ad what you've been diagnosed with. Bet he's the type of bloke who'd pawn his Grandmother's jewellery"

That doesn't make the bike worth anymore than its secondhand value though!

It wasn't posted for sympathy, it was posted to explain the 'genuine reason for sale'

I'm fully aware it doesn't increase the value, but it does clearly explain why I can't use it

Brimma - the point I was making was in response to Martynvrs's comment, not your advert. Sorry for the confusion.

Wasn't any need for MartynVrs to make that comment IMO.

Just sent my BIL an email with the eBay link ( he is big into his MTB racing to see if he knows anyone who maybe interested in this.

Thanks, Giz.........deserves to go to a good home where it can get some serious use  :)

Well that escalated quickly. It was only to say the offer was a silly one and as usual some have taken it the wrong way. If he had offered over a grand it would have been more reasonable. Its still a great bike for the money.
