Was thinking about this over the weekend.Skoda is not a bad line up with the Fabia,Octy and Superb.Not too many variants and options which I quite like.Possibly a sporty two seater would be nice or 4x4 would be good.I know the Yeti is coming but its a bit titchy so I understand.Fabia getting very dated now despite the facelift.

Bmw has too many 3 seies models and I think there is too much ugliness in the range now with the 1 and 5 (M5 excluded!)

I rather like the Mazda set up.The 6 is nice as is the 3.Always liked the MX5 and a nice sporty RX 8.Think they have a nice corporate grill unlike the latest Audi's.A lovely set of cars that now look like they have been whacked in the face with a frying pan with their new grille

Ford seem to be transforming their range into exactly the same car but just different sizes.Not keen on that approach :thumbdwn: Nissan have some crackers at the moment but the Micra,almera and primera just ruin the range for me.Three yeuch cars. I love their Pathfinder (fantastic), X trail and the Murano is great (only sat in one but SO comfy).Brilliant 350z as well

I won't waffle anymore.I think Mazda are ahead of the game at the moment.Good prices,good looking cars and nothing that really spoils their line up.

So who takes the honours for you? Who hasn't got a 'let down' car or cars?

Hate to say it, but I think Ford is probably the best at the moment. The Focus + Focus C-Max are uglier than their predecessors but they have a real quality about them now, the dash looks as good as VAG cars now IMO. Not only that but dynamically they are very good.

Fiesta, Focus and Mondeo all very good drivers cars. All they need to do now is ditch the appalling Ford Kak.

Also agree on Mazda who do have very good looking cars.

However, I have to say that I think if looking at hot hatches, I'm thinking the new Golf GTI, Focus ST and Astra VXR have few rivals at the price. The Type R is beginning to look dated, as is the LCR, and the RS Megane isn't as good as the rivals, the Trophy is, but only 500 being made.
