Best snow foam?

Featured Replies

I'm now using Bilt Hamber Auto Foam, which is as good as the other two but without either of their downsides. It's dark green, so very easy to see the level in the lance bottle.

That's the one I use as it's biodegradable...   not overly foamy though in my experience - maybe I need to clean my lance...

Bilt Hamber,

Its not meant to be "foamy", its meant to work.

Ask the company that either supplies it or if you can, makes it (Mark at autobrite for instance just buys it it) if it is caustic (you should be able to get the MSDS sheet upon asking), and then choose for yourself if you want a caustic snowfoam (TFR) sitting on your paintwork for 20-30 mins or not.

In this sense AutoSmart are fantastic as you can see all the information online and be able to check before buying.

If only all companies did this.

(for instance: http://www.autosmart.co.uk/images/PDF%20Folder/Autosmart%20COSHH%20sheets/Ultra%20Mousse%20-%20SDS11168%20-%20GBR.pdf )

Oh the Bilt Hamber stuff works alright - it's one of the few things that gets the tree sap off without too much trouble - I just always 'expected' it to be more foamy than it is...

I can't get the Demon Wash safety sheet to load properly.

Its showing as irritating to eyes (same as all shampoo etc).

AD Direct do some good snow foams at some very good prices too

Do you know whether the Demon Wash is? (The reviewer on Amazon is full of praise, but wonders if something so effective at stripping brake dust on wheels will strip wax as well.)

Well....Believe me..If I thought there was any problem with it, I wouldnt use it, let alone recommend it!!
