Picked up my new Octavia today and am so far extremely pleased! It's an Elegance with Amundsen, Canton and Kessy (slowly getting used to it...hmm, where's the key..oh, right )

The SD card for the Amundsen was unfortunately not available today, will arrive in a couple of days. Oh well, I have some toys to play with while I wait

it looks just like the one i have ordered ;-) i went for the 1,4 instead of the 1,8. my dealer gave me the 1,8 as a loaner for a week, i think the difference is too little for the money.

I have also tried both, and could not feel the BIG difference between 1.4 and 1.8. But wife "demanded" 4x4 and DSG so the only option now was the 1.8.

I agree the difference is not huge between the two, but in my opinion the extra power justifies the price difference here in Sweden (at least for me) which is 15 000 SEK (about €1600). AND you get the multilink However, the 1.4 is a really great engine as well.

 

Took my car for a ride last night, it was a lovely evening and I truly enjoyed everything about the car. The comfortable seats, the sound quality of the Canton, the engine, plus the fact that it is quieter than the Octavia II....it feels GREAT

Very nice! I think the chrome really finishes it off around windows, looks great. Canton system is fantastic for the money. Well done.
