Do they fill and sort out any marks and kerbing marks in the prep at this place?

As I have used the wheel specialist in Brum. But they are dearer than the city powder coaters do may give them a go.

City Powder Coaters made a  good job on mine, for £80 you cant beat them.

Tell me more!

I have heard loads of people say that they do £20 per wheel, but is this if you take the wheels to them without tyres on??

I contacted them about a drive in service as i don't have a spare set of wheels to use while they are working on them, and they said it's £45 per wheel, i can understand why they charge more for that seeing as they have to remove the wheels, remove tyres, and get it done within 5-6 hours, but it's a bit too much

Yea £20 per rim is a no tyres job.

For 120 they remove the tyres

And put it back.

But garage up the road will help if its an issue

That's more like it, I will try and borrow a set of wheels to use while they are off

They did a full chemical strip, then powder coated and lacquered. I would say outside was almost perfect, just the odd tiny speck under the lacquer. Inside the rim there was few small lumps of powder, but noting you'd ever notice once fitted.

They also had to rub down/ file off some Kerb marks.

I did say I was after a 'show condition refurb' when I booked them in, maybe that helped!

They still do it for £20 per rim too!!

I wonder if anywhere near northants would be any where near as competitive as that

I'm getting around to doing myself and at that price isn't worth the hassle is it

But at £300 odd you must be mad, I'd be keeping an eye on an immaculate set of alloys coming up at that price, I'd continue to referb myself at that rate
