CD changers

Featured Replies

Anyone used or abused www.addachanger.co.uk ???

Still looking at changers and saw their site which was quite informative. Its either spend 300 odd quid and get a dealer to do it, or look at doing it myself so am just taking my time as i have never done this before.

I thought the standard symphony unit only accepted 1 or two makes of changer so wonder what the interface unit is and its size? hope it'll fit behind the dash.

Just replace the whole HU as well and you can get a better stereo and changer for not much difference in cost

As far as I now, the Skoda CD changer is a Panasonic.

I agree with the good doctor, though - I was amazed how much brighter the standard speakers are when driven by a different head unit.

Yep , the standard furby speakers seem pretty decent unlike the ones in the octy

I had to laugh today - I picked up the latest Fabia Accesories brochure while the car was being serviced - the Symphony Head Unit is listed as

where would u say is the best place to put a cd changer?

Under the front seat - not a lot of use for anything else and easy to access to change CDs

If you go for a slimline 6 disk changer then it's worth trying to get it under the seat , but when I've done stereos in furbies I've always put them in the boot attached to the back of the rear seats

I'd never put one in that location - the boot's too small as it is, it would be vulnerable to damage there, and I often fold the seats down which means a back-of-the-seat location would be totally unsuitable.

Front-seat any day - as David says, not enough room to start with..

I've gone down the ipod mini/itrip route ... and even with the old 402 stereo the sound is bl**dy brilliant, and I don't have loads of cd's rattling around the car and cluttering up the glovebox.

Costs? Probably the same as a decent multichanger.

Good idea :)

I've got the Symphony + changer in mine, just in case :)

Might have to invest in a Phat Box!!!! But If I retro fit Satnav I'll need a CD Changer :(
