Door Lock failure

New to forum. I have a Skoda Fabia 1 and both rear door locks stopped working...the electronics having failed. I was presented with a bill for over £400.00 to have them repaired. It seems to me that this is something that is a very rare occurrence and I wondered if other members have experienced the same please?

It is my belief that the incidence of this has to be such a random one off that Skoda UK should consider covering the cost of the repair or at the very least offering an ex gratia payment to help meet the replacement costs.

What is the view of members please? How many of you share this experience please?

Ok, Matrix Leds are fantastic. When driving on A or B class roads they working perfect, illuminates both sides of the road and cuts out cars at the front or oncoming traffic. I've never been flashed. When I tried to use them on motorway it's a different story. Right headlamp is illuminating as expected but left one doesn't illuminate side of the road but only gives a lot of light far at the front of the car.. We hadn't used our Karoq much before we wnt on holiday on 22nd June. On the way to Folkestone (or maybe the day before) we had a message about a software update, which I accepted. I rarely use the ACC as I don't like the way it manages speed, and since just after we got it, I managed to switch off the ACC, and just use it as cruise control. Hi all. Ok where to start. I have a 05 Octavia 1.6, I have just changed the complete clutch unit (Incl Dual Mass Flywheel) today, and replaced the Slave Cylinder with a new one, fitted everything back together and started to bleed the slave cylinder, I noticed that it started to leak from the pipe connection fitting that fits into the slave cylinder, now every time I press the clutch pedal (to bleed the clutch), fluid leaks from this joint. Hi all. I have a 2012 Octavia with the 1.2 TSI CBZB engine and a single-zone, 3-knob climate control system. I live in a Middle Eastern country with a hot climate, and the AC on its coldest setting is performing okay, but not great. Even after refilling the refrigerant gas, there was still no improvement. So I am now the proud owner of three head units. One which is locked and I can't decode. One with a broken screen which works (except for display) and one that is a piece of crap aftermarket one which won't turn on. For my sanity, please could someone recommend a decent unit, that doesn't require me to cut wires, that is not a piece of crap and fits into the existing trim and doesn't look terrible. There's so many out there and it's hard to know which ones are good.
