I went with the 32gb SDHC card in the end. Dragged and dropped my whole iTunes library which was 29gb and that was in the region of 5500 tracks with artwork!

It's that easy to do ? Got a new yeti on the way with Columbus head unit ,,,,, can I really just open up iTunes select the lot and drag it all across to an open sd card folder ? Is it really that easy mate ?

Perry much that easy. Edited the folder structure a little from how iTunes had it set up, but that was not a necessity. ....

It was shared from the music folder where ITunes stored it rather than from within iTunes itself.

What's the largest size SD card the Bolero can handle? My 160GB music collection might prove to be a bit of an obstacle!!

Is it possible to use a portable HDD drive with the USB port? You can then use that instead of a SD card.

no reason why not, but surely at £8 for a 16gb SD card that doesn't show once you insert it makes much more sense than having a portable USB hard drive plugged in. Bear in mind the USB is unlikley to power a portable USB hard drive so you may need to plug the hard drive into the 12V connection as well.

Just get a SD card for simplicity!

I dragged and dropped my music last night - 15gb onto SD card - all good this morning in the car including album art for most albums as well.

As a side note, the USB port is able to power a portable HDD just fine. No need for 12V sockets...

Yeah but if you have a monster music collection such as nutters then there's only one real solution and that's a small USB HDD because of the capacity available, I might try it with an old small USB HDD drive I have (320Gb).

My SD Card stopped working immediately after engine fault was posted by the car. I couldn't play anything. Had to do a full factory reset. I hope they haven't got an odd software glitch that happens if car warning lights get displayed on the Main Display. Perhaps it was just a coincidence.
