Fastest I've recorded mine at was 150mph on the speedo, which was saved as 146mph on my satnav. It's still saved in there as a top speed trophy.

 

It still had some balls left at 150mph too, but I ran out of balls! Passing trucks doing a 1/3 of your speed does not feel normal.

 

Cruising at 130mph feels like nothing though. Stable, quiet and smooth. Skoda made a fast skip!

Reading this thread makes me want to drive to Germany even more than I did already!

Mine is a nice, loose, well run-in engine at 125k.

 

I have a Revo remap, Pipercross filter, and Forge recirc dump valve. Other than that, she is stock.

 

Wound up on the flat only, she will show around 145 indicated.

 

However, wound up on a slight decline, she will show just over 150...and once there, will hold it if the road then flattens out.

 

She's a '51 plate, showing a few battle scars now - but still an extremely willing, faithful and quick skip by anyone's standards!

based on observation the M40 and M20 fall into category.

seen 150 a couple times on my completely standard one and was well surprised how well it pulled from 120 up to 150.

also had 178 out of a Scooby and 185 on a Suzuki busa.
