Price for Vrs on Carfile

Featured Replies

Just looking at the prices for the vrs on carfile.net they are affering around £3000 off the Octavia vrs.

Has anyone ever used carfile and are they any good also which dealer do they use I live in Surrey and hope if I use them the dealer will be close to me.

Dealer is in the East Midlands, so not near you.

Used CarFile years ago (2007) to buy my GTI Edition 30.  They were about 3k below main dealer and I had no issues at all with them.

We got them through WHATCAR editor!

I used carfile this year to buy my octavia 3, the testimonials on website are genuine reviews as one of them is mine, as I wrote it. (So not edited). Carfile representative rang me and I had a lengthy chat with him about/before order, no question unanswered. I can thoroughly recommend plus the dealer they use in midlands was excellent. I travelled up from kent, so don't let the distance put you off.

I have checked their website it it doesn't allow you to add any extras to the car like black packs, sunroof, privacy glass...any reason why..??

I have used them too. They can't offer that level of discount with the 0% finance. I got a quote for the vrs from both carfile and drive the deal and drive the deal was about £500 less for the same spec. I've used both in the past with no issues....

What discount can the get with 0% deal?

at a really push around 4% - that was the quote I got thru carfile.

Maybe the carfile example is one already ordered/allocated?  Unless things have changed, then car plants can only cope with certain ratios of certain extras due to the extra time needed on the line to fit them (i.e. sunroof might only be able to make 1 in 4, so whilst SUK might be allocated 500 vRS models, they might only be able to order 50 of those with sunroofs.  When they've gone, they have to fill the rest of the orders with non-sunroof versions).

I reckon you can get 5% if you push hard enough, I did. The dealer has around 8% to play with when you take out the 0% finance.

I hope you are right. I was quoted about 3.2% off the RRP if I went for 0% finance. Not quite enough for me to do a deal just yet.

If the discount is less with 0% finance can you really call it 0%?

Try carwow.co.UK for a qoute. I was offered a qoute via email that equated to a 6% discount and 0%.

I haven't ordered yet but its the best deal I'm aware of including the 0% finance

Same for me and that seems to have been available for a while now.

Carfile are very responsive and their dealer as above is in the midlands.  I was quoted around 5.3% discount for my Octavia III. My local dealer matched it.

I don't know how your % reductions quantify, but I have had several quotes for a new OCTAVIA HATCHBACK 1.4 TSI Elegance 5dr DSG (list £21490).

Carfile - £18560

Carquake - £18145

Gbcardeals - £17545

Discounted-new-cars - £17455

Can anyone better these?

Outright purchase.

I ordered my 2.0 tdi Elegence via GB Car Deals. £4k discount from list price that local dealer could not touch (outright purchase). Experience so far has been excellent. No question unanswered and phone me weekly without fail with an update. Being built next week. Let's hope the good service continues!!!!
