Long shot I know!

 

My car's bumper lost out in a competition with a wall.

 

Not massively damaged but after speaking to a local bodyshop it's probably cheaper to replace it if I could get my hands on a second hand one in silver!

 

So if anyone happens to know of anyone breaking a silver Mk2 VRS (pre facelift) or just happens to have a spare silver Mk2 VRS bumper floating around let me know please!

Front? Rear?

 

Best off just having a look at salvage places, but they can be quite tricky to find - especially in an exact colour!

 

Think there is a silver vRS pre-FL on eBay at the moment for parts - worth a look.

No luck on that ebay one unfortunately.

 

Realising they are pretty bloody rare!

Took me a long while to find one - sorry to be the bearer of bad news! I certainly wouldn't limit yourself to colour, you'll be looking for ever!

 

Also if you need rear parking sensor holes, but find one without - don't worry. There are guide points on the inside of the bumper, so a bodyshop can easily punch those out for you.

Cheers. Saw that advert myself and got my hopes up as it looks perfect and it's in Birmingham where I am too!

 

Have emailed the guy three times and he has never responded so I'm guessing the bumper isn't available.

 

Probably going to give it another month and then just get mine repaired if nothing turns up.

See if there's a phone number. Some of the places are terrible at email/message replies, and some even actively discourage it for some reason.

Never understood why; if you're going to advertise on an internet platform, why only respond to phone calls?! It's like writing an email to someone, then wanting a posted letter in return
