Finish looks iffy but could be the pictures.

Are they 100% powder coated?

I mean on the rear too?

It looks like the bolt holes are also powdercoated, that's not

ideal. I hope the mating surface on the rear isnt done as well?

Right the pics was taken during the process. Meaning they wasnt finished. When finished the hubs and bolt holes are cleaned out and yes 100% powder coat

Is that just their price or did you get a deal don't know about powder coating but that seems really cheap

How long did they need the wheels for??

And did they remove the tyres and refit or did you get that done somewhere else??

Looks a good price!

Did they do the normal things such as blasting/priming etc before powder coating?

Thats a good price.

My powdercoater charges £1 an inch for normal colours..

U strip the tyre/ weights/ valves off + they shot blast + powdercoat for that price.

Cost me £64 for 4 16" wheels doing bright silver

They powdercoat the lot tho.. so i just sanded the backs with a dremel ;)

Might have to give this place ago next month though suspect my less than mint rims will cost more to coat lol

Pictures and details please as your powder coater is potentially a lot closer than the one oggy1988 uses so it would make things easier for me......

Or...........if anyone knows of a place in the South Yorkshire/North Notts areas that does a good job for similar money then I'd like to know please.

Mine cost £160 but they did everything, left it with them for the day, tires off acid dipped and everything, tires back on balanced and everything

Mine cost £160 but they did everything, left it with them for the day, tires off acid dipped and everything, tires back on balanced and everything

That's a bloody good price, I paid £50 just for my tyres to be re-fitted after I had mine powder coated.

My mate charges £30 a wheel for blasting and painting then £5 extra a wheel if you want clear coat.

Did they leave anything out?

It cost 60quid including stripping and fitting including balancing. I did leave them with him for a week. They are shot blasted and dipped all depends on condition of alloy. My wheels had been shot blasted. Treated. Primered. Then grey metalic flake and then laquar. I got them done through a mate of a mate. But he will charge that price to anyonr that mentions my mates name

Just the inner edge behind the badge where the wheel sits on the hub.. or u wont get them on ;)

50 for all 4 wheels and powder coated?

Who's doing the work? robots or small Chinese toddlers!?!

Its a known fact that 25% of all  UK 2 year old toddlers can use and Ipad, but thats nothing 100% of Chinese toddlers know how to make one!

I'm sure that £50 was for a straight powder coat, literally take the tyres off and spray them with minimal prepping

No filling in kerb marks, etc?? because then that would count as an actual "refurb" and they charge around £20 per wheel for that

But a week is a long time so maybe that's why it was cheap

I paid 40 quid each for mine and that was strip, blast, fill/repair,

and powdercoat plus a clearcoat and all the essential areas masked

to avoid issues after fitment. TBH I thought that was cheap.

Did they leave anything out?

just the wheel nut holes did the full wheel apart from that

Thats who i use.. there in Bradford.

They will shot blast, sand down curb marks and powdercoat and laquer for £1 an inch (+ VAT ;) ) for basic colours.. more if you get chrome effect etc..

They DON'T take the tyres, valves or weights off or split 2/3 piece rims.

They also don't/ can't repair major damage by filling etc because the process of powdercoating melts wheel filler etc.

They have a 3 day turnaround and iv had loads done by them..

If you have alot of curbing i would prep the curbing bits yourself with sum coarse paper for a smoother finish.. but for the price they are really good :)

Heres some of mine:

Yes it was 60 quid for a full refurb. Yes they was filled and repaired. My alloys was a state. The paint was lifting, curbed and scratched and they have come out really well
