rear badge replacement?

Quick question ive had some coustom badges made up and ther professionly done and domed.. now im just stuck on the rear badge do i remove the orginal or just stick my new one over the top ??

Hair dryer to soften the sticky backing then dental floss works a treat. Just changed the badges on the wife's Furby.
