Have a 2.00 dsg elegance and stop start works fine no probs

I test drove a 2.0TDI DSG on Saturday with Stop/Start. Definitely worked!

Thanks thats cleared that up then! typical dealer talking nonsense. I'm guessing vrs will be the same.

Test drove a petrol DSG vRS a few weeks ago and it definitely had it and it worked some of the time.  Seemed to depend on how hard the air con was working and how warm the engine was.

On some double - clutch gearbox set ups stop / start is disabled if the sport mode is engaged. This is true with the later generation Porsches, don't know if it is the same on other VAG DCT 'boxes. Possibly on the vRS with its more sporty pretensions. :think:
