Hi folks,

 

Over the years we've had a great set of people keeping an eye in there spare time on the site.

 

For a long time I've been looking at ways to improve different 'zones' of the site. Some may recall I posted up looking for sectional leaders; no mis quotes please  

 

A few brave people have stepped up and it's early days but the difference is great already.

 

So please welcome some new zone leaders, these are moderators by name, but also guides/leaders to the respective zones.

 

The old mod's if you like and in a new group, these are super moderators.

Ok, so to make all this work I had to make a few minor philosophical changes.

Up until this week a moderator was always able to moderate anywhere. I didn't want to overload the new zone moderators, instead allowing them to focus on the zones and improve/enhance the community within.

 

So the old moderators who did a super job are still here, but now 'super'... they can moderate anywhere, much as it was last week. Just had to have a different name for the group!

 

So the 'zone' leaders:

 

Citigo - Damo, aka Damian

Classic - TeflonTom, aka Tom

Octavia - Welsh Kai Boy, aka Nairn

VCDS - Martin

 

Alan(AlanH) and Mike(Estorilblue) are still finding their feet.

 

In case you missed the 'sales pitch' threads in respective forums here it is again.

 

This is an open post to invite anyone brave daft enough to volunteer to be a section moderator. I sell it so well!

Building on feedback from a recent post in the yeti zone, I'm moving forward with a few ideas. Touched on are zones, part of that is a moderator/owner team within each zone. I tried to come up with suitable names, like group role assignment support person, but moderator is easier to grasp for now   .

So I'm primarily looking to bolster the moderator ranks and this time by sections of interest/ownership.

Just tell me who you are (really) and what you'd like to do with the <model> section, and I guess a few words on why.

First round did take me a while to initiate but the ball is rolling now. Although that said next changes won't be till 2nd week of September due to family, birthdays and anniversaries oh and some client work at last; yay!

That video always brings a smile to my face.

It was that good it led to a Mod changing his name! Hi David8 lol.

Any issues that you see in the Octavia section just let me know.

It's shame there isn't one of those video clips but Boris based. The bit about right decision isn't far off... I've made a few duff ones over the years.

 

Problem is going red changes you... or rather those towards you. Bizarrely some think that you forgo your right to a view/cannot post as you. Only ever seeing the red, the 'lawmen' and not really cutting as much leeway as perhaps we do the otherway. Jeeze feel like a sowing manual now.

 

Anyhow Brimma is too popular, it would be like making Boris PM... I'll sort you a pint next east mids meet; after clocks change I can make them, we can discuss your ascension to the hot seat.
