Went into my dealers last night to sign the papers for the Octy and was talking to one of the service guys who showed me pictures of his mums new Octy vrs hatch back that she picked up last Sunday. It wasn't expected until Christmas but it just turned up. Even the sales manager didn't know why it had arrived so soon.

Thats really strange. However lucky for her. As I said , I will call SUK in a couple of weeks for any sort of update. My brother had also ordered a petrol VRS hatch from a different dealer. He is going to contact them today to see what their response is. I will let you all know when I hear from him.

Bizarrely I followed a silver 13 plate octy 3 hatch in this morning......go figure !!! Lol

Not sure what spec it was but not a VRs.

Who knows what to believe. My brother ordered a petrol VRS hatch a week before me and he phoned SUK on Tuesday to be told his unconformed build date is week 50 with delivery in January. 

 

He asked about mine which is the exact same spec. as his except mine is a diesel and ordered a week later.

 

SUK stated build date would be Week 11 which is 10/03/14.

 

I was shocked and have contacted the dealer who is looking into it.

 

I am not too happy, hopefully the dealer can sort something out.

What options do you have? My estate - spec below - just got unexpectedly bumped from week 45 to week 10!

I was in Border Cars, Lillyhall, Workington yesterday and they have received a VRS hatch as a demo (in the showroom at the min) last week.

My VRS hatch will be at my dealer next week! It's been in the UK port since 30th September. Only problem for me is that I sent the dvla my retention document and v5 on Tuesday, so am waiting for them to send me the updated v5 before I can go and exchange! Poor drills on my behalf. As stated before the ACC when I phoned suk was the delay. The person I spoke to said the hatches are in production-mine was a week 38 build

My local dealer has a brand new hatch vRS sat on the forecourt with its plastic on, saw it today. So the demonstrators are here now.

The sales guy I spoke to when I ordered mine today gave me January as a tentative delivery date but said that "some of the delivery dates are all over the place, we've had these turn up out of the blue so it might be earlier than that".

 

Maybe the dealers are as much in the dark as us punters?

I ordered a hatch TD.. the1st week of September.. dealer said 12-16 weeks.. I'm having a few extras fitted to it... hope it comes before Xmas

The last two factory order cars I've had have been within 10 weeks.

All in all I will probably have waited 14 weeks for my octavia by the time it arrives. Which is pretty good considering at the time of order I was told minimum of 20 weeks
