Fantastic new review of the Citigo Sport

Featured Replies

Woop! Can't wait to get mine now! And it should be the same as in that article :-D although minus the centre stripe!

Me too! Although mine should have the "serpens" alloys.

Great review

Agree with their comment that the Sport should have got a bit of extra power, to match it's looks

100bhp would have been sufficient

Cheers

I think a 1.2 TSI 6 speed would go well in a Citigo... All that torque in that light body would certainly bring a smile.

I will be ordering one soon I hope, once a couple of bits fall into place.

I'm confused though.

They say it is lowered 15mm but the 'GO' of CITIGO is not green and the Greentech button inside is missing.

Do they lower the sport without giving it Greentech Start/Stop?

Yes the sport is lower like the Greentech but does not have the stop start etc. Really is a bit of a con. The spec is lower than Elegance and yet you get charged more. Looks good however.

I almost got a sport when I went for mine. Wasn't really looking toys just wanted a decent first car. Like the look of the sport but couldn't justify spending a few thousand more in stickers and plastic.

I now have a black elegance which will soon have the silver decals on and no bodykit (yet) and will have some minor wrapping and colour coding done. I call it a bespoke sport lol

I'd argue the Sport gives you more. On the Elegance the extra speakers are a £100 option for instance, and you can only get the sunset glass with the pano roof option.

Sport: diffuser, rear spoiler, front splitter, custom gear stick (+unique stitching), decals, sunset glass, additional 4 speakers, custom floor mats, 15" alloys +suspension lowering (also mini extras like the custom key fob and the media holder.)

Elegance: heated seats, electric adjustable mirrors, chrome interior trim.

Not sure why anyone would think the lowering only goes automatically with the start stop. Nor is the the start/stop an automatic fixture on Elegance models.

Price difference between standard Sport and equivalent 60ps Elegance is £570.

Would like to add that the "sunset" glass is now an option without the sunroof I think its about £160

the price difference is exactly £570 between a standard elegance and sport (both 60 ps)

so an elegance with sunset glass and 'entertainment' pack is £9980

the elegance already has the lowered suspension so minus the styling the elegance is still £310 cheaper (again the body kit extras are more than £310 :o )

my Citigo elegance 75ps with Summer pack, entertainment pack, convenience pack and spare wheel come in at only about £700 more than a sport (60 ps)

but as has already been said the sport is a cracking car, looks very good (just not my taste, I prefer to be a bit more subtle!) and fits its purpose very well

Don't think the Elegance os lowered as standard, just the Greentech version.

you can only get the elegance in greentech now (apart from the auto) so suspension is lowered the same as a sport - as far a differences, I can only assume that they are different? perhaps ride quality/stiffness?

a dealer may know more!

I think we had that conversation on another thread somewhere. The consensus seemed to be that the sports suspension was the same as the greentech lowering behind the marketing speak.
