Slower/less torque since FMIC

Featured Replies

Gents,

Since fitting the forge FMIC to my Fabia Vrs, the torque and power seems to be down. Also the engine 'breathing' seems a little 'wheezy'?

All joints seems sealed and it doesn't seem to be a boost leak from what I can gather.

Anyone else had this issue since fitting a FMIC?

Cheers,

Are you still running a standard turbo? It could be turbo lag because the turbo has a bigger area to pass air through?

Yeah standard turbo. It's strange because as soon as I fitted it and test drove it, it pulled hard. Now a few days later seems sluggish?

Mine was more laggy when I fitted a twin pass FMIC with the standard turbo. I put it down to the turbo having to push the air round a bigger 'intercooler system'

Never noticed this with mine, only difference is that mine seemed louder

Maybe I am just getting use to the power already....

Get that bigger turbo fitted ;)

You had an exhaust done actually? I noticed a major power drop on mine when I had a straight through exhaust fitted.

I am sitting here looking at that turbo, lol. Maybe I should get it fitted ASAP.

It currently has a decat.

I should also mention I am running a stage 1 map.

Stage 1 map like me and a decat like me. Never noticed a power drop from a FMIC and mine was a twin pass.

I sent my turbo off over 2 weeks ago, will get fitted soon :)

GTB2260 time!
