Sorry Officer!

Featured Replies

I decided to have a quick blast to see what my little Fabia could do!

I was a bit surprised!

Cheers

mines been round to there too.

Takes ages from 110 though. Ah well.

Don't really enjoy driving at such license risking speeds though tbh.

Just a comment - but thats a mighty clear picture, and the outside is also sharp. Sure you didn't just jack the front of the car up?:rofl:

Hi

Fortunately this speed was legal as I went on holiday to Germany ( Nurberg rink :) and then on to Le Mans for the 24 hour race which was excellent.

Car travelled 2700 miles in 12 days wothout a hickup!

Cheers

Tony

i did that speed when i 1st got the car (after braking in) - 140mph ish! (Nurberg rink too - honest) wouldn

I was just about to say that!

The scenery isn't moving? Who's taking the piccie from that angle, so steadily too, given the speed. :D Can VAG com do this? Hmmm. ;)

Yup, just do an output test on the instruments...

Well you can get that reading without vagcom too - and yes it takes a little longer to get there. Just change to 6th at 110 - if you change up early it just ain't gonna do it (standard, 2nd gearbox-model).

When I did that speed I was actually paying a great deal of attention to the scenery, mainly bridges and 'parking lots' :)

PS not in the UK, of course ;)

PS-II: Suppose we could get the 0-100 in 2.5 seconds acceleration referred to in the entertainment-park thread  - now if ANYONE manages to hit that in any Skoda (Fab/Octy/Superb) lemme know, as the mods on it must be awesome :D :D

The background wont look that blurred if you use a flash or a fast shutter speed when taking the photo though.

See the attached for an example.

I was just about to say that!

Was thinking exactly the same TBH

It's not vagcom as the other needles would be at rest and clearly aren't.

The speedo reads really high above 100 increments are 80 - 90 - 110 - 130 - 150 - the needle movement doesn't really seem to take this into account. 120 on GPS is over 130 on speedo.

Beachy Head? ;)

Chris

 - I was thinking perhaps a rocket-propelled Furby would do it, but then it may have trouble going round corners :D

213 - 215 kph (about 136?) is no problem with the car. I do it all the time
