vRS cornering fogs will not be included.

Featured Replies

Hopefully I can enable it on my vcds like I did before. However I will still be demanding a reduction.

Some one has already plugged their vRS into VCDS and a lot of the options / coding isn't yet visable.

Well Skoda will have to give me the cost of that option as stated above before I accept the car i find them useful and was glad to see it was a standard option. Hopefully I can enable it on my vcds like I did before. However I will still be demanding a reduction.

I agree they will be losing money over this! I too will be asking for a reduction for these. When is your car due?

Why do you need cornering fogs with AFS Xenons?

Have you read the small print in the brochure that says car specifications can and will change without notice? If it then you really should have?

If they added something extra but didn't increase the price of the car would you demand you pay extra??

You don't.

You don't. However, if when you have agreed to the purchase of a vehicle that includes these as standard, and which would normally be a £100 option, you are going to be a bit miffed when you car arrives and they are not there. Whether they are fitted as standard or as an option you have still paid for them along the way.

On top of that, it will be interesting to see how many dealers call to tell their expectant clients they will not be getting them as standard when their car arrives.

I like them because the afs doesn't work at low speeds & several times I have just caught a glimpse of a low bank/wall etc with my old fl

I plugged my vcds in to the demo car on the test drive I had

No coding info in most modules, I'm sure it will be sorted but it could be a while

Does the AFS on the Octavia III not include the cornering function then?

Did you forward a copy to RT?

Yes they have a right to change it but that does not they can change it once ordered without any compensation.

Furthermore if you have brought the car on finance you are protected under the consumer credit act and if the product does not meet the description.

This is because the Supply of Goods (Implied Terms) Act 1973 says that, in a hire purchase agreement, there are implied conditions (conditions that the law says you can assume are in the contract even if they are not written there), including conditions that:

the goods will meet their description; and

the goods will be of satisfactory quality.

Therefor I will be getting a refund or not accepting the car despite what ever rubbish is written in the brochure.

I'd agree that if you are not notified before ordering then it is a different case.

I'm not sure it's worth rejecting a car over, but I'd certainly expect to be compensated to an equivalent cost of the missing items.

Just got the latest brochure through the post dated 8/13 and 'cornering fog lights with darkened surround' is still listed as standard on the vRS....

Yeah it's in the aug PDF but the dealer desktop alert is from after that. I expect a sept PDF will 'correct' it.
