Hi.

Just got a 2010 Superb elegance with electric boot lid. It was working fine for the first week, but now sometimes it wont open an just beebs 5-6 times and wont open. Sometimes it opens but then has the same problems closing.

My Superb has just been in to dealers with the same problem, although it only beeped three times.

 

Solution was a replacement (RHS I think) electric boot strut.

 

I would guess if you have more beeps you will need the other side replaced.

Check the wire loom for damage as well, these are thin wires that simply break with the open and shut motion.

G'day, recently experienced the same problem. 2 broken wires on LHS of boot where tailgate glass joins boot. Skoda dealer originally replaced boot catch but this did not fix the problem. My Superb built Dec 2009 ex Europe.
