Seeing a lot more MkIII's on the road now

Featured Replies

I've seen none in Lancashire. Eee its grim up north!

Oddly enough I saw two yesterday. A black combi on the A56 and a poor sod at the start of the M65 (Preston) who had been side swiped. Sad to see a new octy with so much panel damage.

East kent seems a bit light on ground with octavia 3. I've seen a few rapids one which was a taxi. So are the taxi ranks going to take on the rapid or octavia 3?

Lol I'm also east Kent. Yes have seen a couple of rapids but not as many as octy 3. I think the taxis will have a mix of both. I've seen only one octy 3 taxi so far. Don't think I've seen any rapid taxis yet

East kent! I must be driving with my eyes shut!! As i said only seen one.

Are you sure your not just seeing me over and over again, rofl.

LOL well unless you've got a colour changing car I dont think so lol. How many miles are you doing? It might just be that im spending much more time on our fair east kent roads?

So far the colours Ive seen are race blue, silver, black, denim blue, rallye green. More silver and black than any other colour. Only 1 rallye green. 2 denim blues. 3 race blue.

Saw six or seven when I was on holiday in Devon and seeing quite a few around London and the M25 now.

Twice I've been caught out thinking it was a Rapid, but we are seeing noticably more Octy3s than we are Rapids.

Give it a year and they'll be everywhere. :)

But hardly any left factory. I bet you guys are mistaking Rapid for O3. ;)

Yes easy mistake to make until they overtake you and you can see how much smaller they are !!

The majority of Octavia III's I see appear to be hire cars - very basic looking, hire car stickers on boot and bar codes in the back windows.

Capitol Skoda in Newport have shifted a few, there's a couple of us collecting midnight on the 1st.

why not midnight on the 31st?

Well, the fact you haven't seen my white one shows my lack of mileage! I'm a leisure driver as don't need the car for work. So I'm just going to have to try harder to find one!! I'm thinking about a knight rider style scanner on front to search them out.....lol

Ooooh I LIKE that idea and the red scanner would look FAB on a white Octy3! No I dont think I have seen a white one...... it would make my Oscar look very dirty lol and very old.

Ahh see thats where you are going wrong - not enough miles! Drive man DRIVE!!!

I wish I could drive it more but my wonky shifts and young family makes it "difficult"!!

I do use the octavia 3 more than my last car as I really enjoy driving it. Lol, my record was an almost 4 week stint where I physically didn't have time to use my old car. I'm sure i heard it cheer when I finally cracked open the garage door!! ;-)

How very rude of work and family reducing your prime driving time lol.

I cannot wait to get mine so I can take it on a few trips to visit friends who live a trek away :D

why not midnight on the 31st?

Sorry, midnight of the 31st was what I'd meant! :-)
