Octavia Scout 4x4 2.0 TDI PD 140 Anthracite metallic reg'd Feb 10 39k miles 173g CO2

Featured Replies

A new car's on the way so I'm offering my Scout for sale before the dealer takes it.

As above, the car's in Anthracite Grey with a Milotec rear bumper protector.

Standard Scout features include:

ESP

Rear parking sensors

Cruise Control

Hill Hold Control

Through load facility for skis etc.

Light Assistant (coming home/leaving home auto lights)

Privacy glass

As it's not been our prime car, the only extras are:

Metallic paint

Sunroof

Towbar preparation and fitted with a Westfalia detachable towbar for towing my dirtbike and small trailer.

It's up-to-date on servicing which has been done annually by the supplying dealer who also did its first MOT in Feb this year. I've owned it from new and there's no finance on it, but please check for your own peace of mind. No DPF lights either.

Currently fitted with 18" Zenith wheels, but will refit original 17" Proteus wheels (replaced under warranty last Autumn) fitted with all season tyres (approx 4-5mm) prior to sale.

No bumps scrapes or accidents and virtually no stone chips.  Regularly displays over 50 MPG on local run and should improve with age.

Taxed and MOT'd 'til end of Jan 2014.

Available for viewing in Scotland just now or in The Midlands shortly (where wheels will be swapped and number plate transferred).

As I've already got a healthy offer from the dealer I'm looking for £13,500 with the car available in the next couple of weeks or so.

Please PM with any sensible questions about anything I may have overlooked.

Condition of bodywork? Maxidot? Xenons? Head unit? MFSW?

Interior pictures please.

What's a Milotec rear bumper protector look like/do?

And where in the Midlands?

Thanks for the interest

As it's a not my prime car I kept the spec virtually standard save for the sunroof and towbar which were essential for me.  Standard spec does not include Maxidot or Xenons but VCDS can adjust many of the Maxidot settings.  Bulbs could be upgraded if necessary, but I've not found the lights to be ineffective and they must have a positive effect on keeping repair costs/insurance lower.

Head Unit is the standard Bolero one with the faster loading mp3 firmware.  These don't attract thieves like the nav versions might.

Bodywork in good condition.  As stated no dents or dings and very little in the way of stone chips.

Interior likewise as I've used seat covers.  There's only a small amount of sign of wear on the "pull/hand grip" bit of the door handle where its a bit shinier.

The Milotec bumper guard is a ridged silver trim (to match front and rear faux aluminium bash plates) that covers the top and edge of the rear bumper and protects it from scratches etc.  A bit like the RGM one, but nicer - more OE.  I'll add a picture.

Going to be South of Birmingham shortly, so prepared to travel a bit from my relatives if anyone needs a look.  My other car is registered at that address so should give anyone confidence that everything's above board if they want to view there.  I'll bring the V5C for that car too.

Here's the Milotec rear bumper guard (with Westfalia detachable towbar also in view).  Should maybe also remind folk its Haldex 4 as its a FL Scout.

Not what I was expecting, but nice all the same.

The CR FL Scouts started coming through a few months after mine - possibly May/June 2010?

A VCDS scan is welcome on mine as I haven't seen the warning light illuminate yet, so would be interested to know what's in there. I don't expect any problems unless its driven very differently by the next owner e.g. stop/start urban traffic only. My shortest journey is 8 miles and I use my Fun or bike if its just a couple of miles to the post box.

So for my latest journey I was sat at some roadworks and saw these figures displayed:

But the best bit:

These are fairly typical and I had the whole family in the car with the A/C on too.  With default wheels and tyres the MPG reads higher still.

Now sold.

Another forum member gets the benefit of:

Full sized Proteus alloy with Dunlop tyre for spare

ChipEx touch-up kit

3rd remote fob/key

Rubber mats including boot

2 spare sets of wiper blades

A little extra under the bonnet...enjoy it.

Pleased you sold it. Especially to another Briskodian.

Time to update the Scout owners register...

A bit confused- is that a list of things you have left over to sell?

No. That's the extras he threw in with the car when it sold it to the lucky buyer.
