    There is rumours to that effect, after his 6 months fishing leave. I did like Whitmarsh as he seemed less anal and OCD than Ron before. Does that mean the (weak) rumours of Alonso to McL in 15/16 are finished as it was him and Dennis that were especially frosty after spygate.

    Caterham have signed Kamui Kobayashi and Marcus Ericsson as the team's race drivers for the 2014 Formula 1 season.

     

    Great that Kobayashi is back IMO - he's a legend!

    That's it then - all drivers confirmed for 2014.

     

    Di Resta has been confirmed as returning to DTM - he will partner Gary Paffett with Merc.

     

     

    Will leave this thread open for a few days but will then lock and all discussion can move to the main F1 2014 thread.

    Great that Kobayashi is back IMO - he's a legend!

    Forza Kamui!!! Ok, I just got properly interested in F1 2014.

    Its great that Kamui is back but not sure the caterham will really be able to show his potential off.

    Its a shame VDG is reserve drive and not a full seat I thought he proved his skill set towards the end of last season but then I would still prefer to have kamui in a seat and this young Swedish lad might turn out to be ok. Well anything is better than Chilton. who will be bringing up the rear as usual.
