Good stuff, I have PD150 head bolts sat in front of me too :)

Installing them went well untill someone discracted me and i forgot which one i had just done the first 90 degree turn!

Great progress so far. Think I need pd150 head bolts now.

Where's the evo triangle?

Thank you, the Evo triangle is made up of three roads, the B4501, the B543 and the A5. Its a nice road although i do prefer the B5105 from Ruthin

Good job its all sorted now!

Not the only one. just need a rear ARB now :)

May have to organise a summer drive around them roads :)

Well worth it. :)

Think I need to clear a weekend and nip over.

could organise a little meet/drive around them roads?

Sounds like a plan!

2nd. Best keep it to a small group though.

 • Author

Yeah small group would attract a lot less hassle hehe. Could meet at the top of the horseshoe pass? Although could be a bit cold

Was thinking the ponderosa :)

When are people free?? Saturday or sunday??

Purchased a Whiteline arb from demon tweeks today and fitted it. Only took about an 1.5hrs to fit :) The difference is night and day. Less roll but more importantly better turn in and very controllable on the throttle (you can tell i drive a little french track car)

Got to be up there with the best mod!!

i really like mine with it fitted, feels so much more planted!

Yep your right there, i also think braking on mine seems more stable.

Another addition i did at the weekend. Powerflex lower engine mount. after changing the head on my car i had an awful vibration. only thing i could see it being was the lower engine mount, i obviously didn't support the engine properly with the jack i put under the sump.

Changing the bush took around an hour, i've removed quite alot of 106/saxo bushes which have a metal edge so removing something that had a plastic edge came as a nice surprise. Then used a vice to press in the powerflex one :)

When looking at this thread i really don't take a lot of photos so thought i'd spoil everyone with two hehe

There is a little vibration on tick over but much less rock in the engine. Now when you do a little heel and toe the engine doesn't rock about :)

When looking under the car noticed the console bushes where solid, on closer inspection turns out i have cupra bushes which im very happy about

Nice find on the cupra bushes! Lower engine mount poly bush is worth while mod, I am pleased with mine.

Looks good. Cupra bushes are well worth it IMO. The more photos the better!

I've got a Powerflex lower engine mount sitting in my garage waiting to be fitted. Pretty easy to fit then mate?

I think they are cupra bushes anyway after searching what they look like! the rubber in them is hard and all the way round the bush if that makes sense.

Yeah i thought it was easy enough. I took the whole mount off like in the pics, then putting it back on split the two mounts up so i could fit the back bolt easier. pressing the bush in was easy enough as its quite maluable so i pressed it in at an angle to make sure it was in then used a peice of wood to straighten it out.

Looking good :)

I'll be up for a run out if not working, never done the Evo triangle even though its on the doorstep!!!

Eye think we need to set a date when we're free. Clio's not been so once I finish fitting the exhaust (long story) I should be good to go.

Well recently ive been thinking of selling the fabia. After the cambelt, two wheel bearings, punctures caused by potholesI was falling out of love with it very quickly. Looking at cars I couldn't really find anything that really floated my boat for not alot of money.

So now I've decided I'll spend a bit on the fabia and hopefully get some trackdays out of it.

What ive bought:

Darkside intercooler and hardpipe kits (57mm)

Second hand helix clutch

Gtb1756 turbo and downpipe from silky16v

Ap coilovers

Federal 595rs-r's (needed new tyres anyway)

312mm calipers and discs (haven't decided on which pads yet)

Cupra console bushes (other ones are knocking)

Loads of service parts (ball joints, track rods)

New cam as wear on the other one

So all in all a busy few weeks ahead.20140705_135940.jpg20140705_140116.jpgURL=http://s58.photobucket.com/user/flanders010/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140705_140015.jpg.html]20140705_140015.jpgURL=http://s58.photobucket.com/user/flanders010/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140705_140000.jpg.html]20140705_140000.jpg
