Hahaha, ok, it was late and id had a drink, lol. You get my point at least.

When you say lower than 40mm im assuming thats on the VRS? So would be 66mm on mine?

Would this ARB be any better than the VRS one?

Is this kit a good deal, with the bar?

I did see a kit with just the drop links but cant remember what make. Anyway, seems like that would be a better option as then I wouldnt need the ARB, correct?

Ive just put a set of 18s on it and, to be honest, have seen the lower arm bushes need doing :( Also notice that, with my rims, I dont think Id want to go more than 60mm or theyd rub. So, If i can go 60mm on my TDi, NOT a VRS, without the drop links or ARB then ill just spend the money on bushes for the front bits. Sounds like the best option?

lol..Dude stop with the  VRS....  you are confusing yourself.....

A VRS is 26mm lower then none VRS octy , this was just a point raised nothing more. The VRS can be lowered further coz it has better ARB/drop link connection clearance

I am talking about your car buddy.

So to confirm , you can not lower "your" car more than 40mm  with your STD ARB set up.

First i would consider is to work out how low you actually want to lower "your" car.

If you think 40mm or less is doable then just get Coilovers and be done with it.

So as only a comparison if you like the height of a VRS, by lowering your car 26mm will get you the same height and you don't need different ARB.

You then have approx 14mm left to go on your coilovers to go lower than a STD height VRS as well

If you think you want to lower more than that,  then yes you could consider your link  to the ARB and or the link to the full kit as another option to the 2 I listed earlier.

I have no experience with the FK coilovers to advise you if it is a good kit buddy.

hope you get it sorted..

Thanks for all the help guys!! Youve been ace!

Now I have my 18s fitted im thinking 40mm will be enough, especially with the roads around here! Gonna go with Pro Sports and poly bushes. leave the ARB and drop links untill I move somewhere with no speed bumps, lol.

Good advise buddy. You can always run them for a while and see what you think, then decide....

My 2p worth........

NONE OF THEM!

Save up and get decent ones.

Put joms on my fabia and they only lasted a month or so before I took them off. Never buying cheap **** again.

Weitecs I had on tge octy were ace set to nearly std hight. Cant comment on the kwv3 I have as I never fitted them :-(

NOT solved!

Just thought about the headlamps :/ They are the auto leveling ones and I hear there are sensors on the suspension? How will this effect the level of the lights? Never thought about this but auto leveling lights seem like a pain in the ass for lowered cars?

:giggle:
