Nope not registered at all. I believe it only gets registered if you contact support which I haven't...

If you on the about screen in the software it will tell you if its registered the cable or not.

I think all cables will show registered there.I believe it doesn't effect the use when passed on as the licence is effectively within the cable.

Mine shows as "valid/activated". It may be worth checking with gendan/Ross tech, otherwise anyone buying it could end up having to pay $99 to get support.
