Snap mines getting on for well over three years old I still get the lovely leather smell, ok it's masked a bit by my cherry California scents but it is still their.

The seat surgeon seats in mine are 3rd hand and are still in excellent condition and still smell of leather although I don't notice it as much now I'm used to it but I've had leather recaros in my old mondeo st200 and that was the same I didn't really notice the smell once I got used to it unless recaro also don't use "real" leather lol. Also had part leathers in a few of my other fords and the seat surgeons feel as good if not better quality so don't know where you get that it's not really leather from? Definitely get my vote but then I didn't pay a grand....

Ant isnt saying they are not using "real" just in his opinion the leather they use doesnt smell as good as the type used on his retrim. I imagine seat surgeons use a nice tough wearing leather that has been treated no end to be very durable. If i get a retrim it will most likely be with seat surgeons but using different front seats just to try make it that little bit different.

It just comes across like he's saying it isn't real leather that's all and if I hadn't ever seen a set I'd be put off by that comment. To me leather is leather really, as I said I've had leather recaros, normal half leather seats from Ford and even the leather seats and dash in my dads 911 pretty much feel, look and smell the same as my seat surgeons ones. I must admit the recaros were abit shinier actually but the point I'm making is I haven't ever looked at the seat surgeon seats and thought it was cheap or weird leather or anything. It may well be inferior leather to what ant has but imo the leather is decent enough stuff

From the seat surgeons sets I've seen all have worn well and looked fantastic even after a few years use. The cars tend to smell of the air freshener in them. When you consider the cost of a SS retrim compared to others it makes them even better value. I wont say anymore than that for fear of offending.  :sun:
